Vathy

A deep natural harbour characterizes Vathy, the capital of Ithaca and the hub of business.  It’s colourful bay side with traditional buildings and tree lined walks immediately attracts the visitor to the island. Vathy area includes Marathia, Kanelata, Sarakiniko and Filiatro, a favourite beach for visitors and locals. Loutsa beach is in walking distance from the center of town, nestled at the edge of Vathy past a picturesque tree-lined road.
